discover a new life by taking on
daily energy building techniques.
Everyone wants more energy. If only we could get more done in a day, need less sleep, exercise more, eat less…Food both contributes to our energy and sabotages it.
In one-on-one counseling, we discover how to increase our energy with these foods and techniques:
• High quality, nutrient rich foods. Rich, varied colors and textures. Preferably organic. Foods that are alive, have life force. You can tell them because they are often raw, and will spoil if left out. A great rule of thumb I like is: If microorganisms, mold, etc, cannot thrive on it, what makes me think I can?
• Foods that are 'whole foods'. They are foods that have not been processed. They look the same on your plate as they did on the vine. Foods, e.g. whole grains, vegetables and beans that have not been stripped of their essential fiber, vitamins and minerals.
• Air. Oxygen. Our blood depends on it. We need to get outside and breathe fresh air into our lungs. We want to walk, run, bike, jump rope, skip, practice yoga, or swim. Anything to get oxygen into our blood. We feel most sluggish when the blood doesn’t get enough oxygen. Start out by giving yourself 10 minutes per day.
• Water: Morning, afternoon and evening. We often experience sluggish thinking, poor digestion and fatigue due to a lack of hydration. Water flushes the body of toxins and waste products through our skin and urine. Water replenishes our cells and restores relaxation to muscle tissues. Muscle aches are due to toxin build-up. That’s why we soak in Epsom Salts. It draws the toxins out and relaxes the muscle. Make a note to yourself – determine if the more you drink, the more thirst you notice.
